I had missed this incident, reported on April 25th by CBS about a 7 year old girl with cerebral palsy being aggressively patted-down by the TSA, which caused her family to miss their flight. The TSA, as usual, defends their decision, using deception again when they say it was a modified pat-down. A clear description of a modified pat-down does not exist. They modified PROCEDURES, like allowing kids to leave their shoes on, multiple passes through strip-search scanners and medical detectors, and explosive trace detection, which can involve lifting up your children’s clothing, but they did not modify the pat-downs, and the groping has continually been reported to be just as disgustingly invasive as the molestation inflicted upon those 12 and over.
“TSA has reviewed the incident and determined that our officers followed proper screening procedures in conducting a modified pat-down on the child.”
